Some of my Favorites

My Uncle Lothaire and Aunt Connie and my cousin Chelsea and her husband Shane are some of my favorite people in the whole world, seriously! Because we live all the way on the other side of the country, I don't get to see them nearly as often as I would like. But a couple of weeks ago, Greg and I got a special treat. They were in the city, and we all got together for dinner! So fun to see them and catch up...sorry these pictures aren't the best (we realized we needed to grab one right before getting on the subway to go home).

Honeymoon Pictures

A lot of people have been bugging us for pictures from the Honeymoon, so here they are! St. Lucia really is a beautiful place, and despite all of the drama we had with the hurricane and trying to get home, we had a great time seeing the island and being together.

So Much to Be Thankful For...

This year has been an incredible year for us. We have been so blessed and are eternally grateful for the events of the past year that led to us dating, falling in love and being married in the temple. Although we would have loved to have been able to visit families for the holidays, we were so excited to able to spend our first holidays together right here in NYC, our home!
Well, what better way to start our Thanksgiving in the city than with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I remember growing up my grandma would be in the kitchen cooking Thanksgiving dinner and always had the parade playing on a little tv in the kitchen. Seeing the parade in person was almost magical. We found a great spot near Times Square and loved being able to see the floats, the marching bands, the balloons, and of course...Santa!

That afternoon we went over to Jon & Leah's apartment for a Thanksgiving dinner feast! Leah was such a lovely hostess and had prepared such a beautiful dinner that I had to take pictures of the table and our spread!
This was my and Greg's main contribution to the feast...thank you Grandma Western for starting the Thanksgiving frog's eye salad tradition!

All the food was delicious and the company even better. It is so nice having family here in the city. We loved being able to share the day with Jon & Leah and Eric and new friends, Jake and Mary.
And don't worry, we had plenty of dessert. This pie was as delicious as it looks!
